Here is the minor league report for the 2010 Memphis Redbirds, the Triple-A affiliate for the St. Louis Cardinals.
The key name to note on the roster is starting pitcher Lance Lynn, a first round selection in the 2008 draft. Lynn has a career minor league ERA of 2.62 in 175 1/3 innings. He will need to work on his control in Triple-A as his walk rate had escalated at Double-A last season.
The other name to watch is second basemen Daniel Descalso, a 3rd round pick from the 2007 draft. Descalso has a career minor league batting avergae of .274 with a little bit of power, hitting 10 home runs between two levels last season.
How they rank:
Baseball America: Lynn (3), Descalso (9)
Keith Law: Lynn (3), Descalso (6)
John Sickels: Lynn (3), Jay (9)
